Sixth Grade
Marie-Louise Little’s own schooling began in Stockholm, Sweden, although she is of Finnish descent. She has held tightly to her cultural heritage, which includes the outstanding educational practices grounded in Waldorf ideals that inform her teaching philosophy. She has been a parent in the Novato Charter School community for over 12 years. Ms. Little has a diverse background in education. She was a middle school and high school English teacher at Lycee LeDoux in Besançon, France, and taught English at an architectural university. Ms. Little graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a BA in English Literature, a BA in French Language and Culture, and a double minor in Ethnomusicology and Comparative Religious Studies. In her free time, Ms. Little enjoys inspiring youth to become the next generation to send humans to Mars and raves about how math makes it all possible.

Eighth Grade
Ms. Smith holds a BA in Liberal Studies, a California Teaching Credential from Sonoma State University, and a Waldorf Teaching Certification from the Rudolf Steiner College in Fair Oaks, CA.
Before joining NCS, she taught first and second grade for five years in an inner-city public school in San Francisco.
