Novato Charter School Foundation (NCSF)

NCSF is the fundraising organization of the Novato Charter School (NCS), similar to a PTA. The Foundation is authorized by the NCS Board of Directors to raise general and specific funds for the school that include programs support, capital improvements, and teacher and parent education. A 501(c)(3) organization, donations are tax deductible under IRS regulations.

Most NCSF funding comes directly from parents—in fact, nearly 95% of parents contribute to the annual pledge program. This pledge program, along with our Enchanted Garden auction, Virtual Garage Sale, affinity programs, grants and generous donations, provide over 15% of the NCS operating budget. Without this money, NCS could not provide a rich learning experience that includes music, language, gardening, handwork and games. Nor could it provide the beautiful gardens and play areas, including our latest addition, a ball field.
